Playing Video Poker at Skillpod is very straightforward and easy. The rules apply as in most poker games and this is plain and simple 5 card draw.

Your aim is to try and make the best 5 card poker hand in our Video Poker game.

To get started you first select your bet size and then hit the deal button. You will then be dealt five cards. You can choose to discard some of the cards and keep others. The ones discarded will then be replaced with new ones.

There are a few simple things to remember when playing this Video Poker game (and others for that matter).

Whenever you have a made hand, keep the cards and discard the rest to try and make it even stronger. So if you have a pair, but also 4 cards to a flush or straight draw, keep the pair rather in order to make sure you have a winning hand at least.

If you have 4 cards to a flush or a straight you can discard the 5th card and hope you hit with the new card dealt to you. You must however remember that with straights that you shouldn't try and hit an inside straight. Aim to hit either a card at the top or bottom of the range of cards you have to make a straight. It improves the chances a lot.
